Trivia:

  • Due to his father's job in the Merchant Navy, the family spent three years in the Indian city of Chennai

  • Voiced some of the puppets in Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles (1989)

  • Spent three years in the Royal New Zealand Navy, and played the cornet in the band

  • Released a CD called Tall Tales: Classic Children's Stories, which he narrated adding a New Zealand twist to each tale

  • Mother is Australian and father a New Zealander

  • Trained at the Auckland's Theatre Corporate

  • Moved to Perth as a young child

  • Mainly works in Christchurch where he acts and directs at the Court Theatre

  • Is an events manager for Christchurch City Council

  • Met his wife while appearing in a one man stage play. She was in the audience talking to the man sitting next to her before the show started, only to realise that the man was the star of the show when he got up and walked onto the stage and began the show

  • Attended boarding school for a time

  • Moved to New Zealand aged 9, where he spent time in both Wellington and Christchurch

  • Has appeared in such shows as Jesus Christ Superstar and The Rocky Horror Picture Show
