History:

Nori was a distant relative of Thorin Oakenshield, who probably lived in Thorin’s halls in the Ered Luin (Blue Mountains). In TA 2941 he joined the company of Thorin Oakenshield with his brothers, to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and Erebor. Like his brother Dori, he showed more friendliness toward the hobbit Bilbo Baggins than the others Dwarves. They shared a love for good food, and Nori had a tendency to look after the hobbit. Therefore he made sure that Bilbo was rescued when the Company had to climb trees to escape from the Wargs.

Nori fought and survived the Battle of the Five Armies, and afterwards he joined the people of Dain Ironfoot in the Lonely Mountain. He was still alive during the War of the Ring and was described by Gloin as very rich. It is unknown when he died.
