So, I haven't really been around here for a while. 2 years (and a bit). Yeah, I kinda drifted. But I never did lose my passion for Tolkien.
Lately, I've been having all these moments where I find myself thinking "ooh, I'll have to bring that up on AU". Or comparing other sites and forums to here, and deciding you guys seriously rock!
Now I've finally given up and have decided to sneak in through the back door and pretend I was never gone.
I'm expecting virtually no one to remember me, and to see a million new faces round the place. So here's the briefing...
I'm Celebwen on AU, but I also answer to Jenn. I'm Aussie, Christian and nearly 18 (only 7 days to go!!). This year I'm in year 12, which has got to be the most stressful stage of life. Which is of course why I'm deciding to procrastinate here. I'm studying french [[ ]], passionate about drama and I spent 6 months in Sweden last year. Which was fantastic.
So there you have it, anyone who was curious. A very brief briefing about me, myself and I.
Also, I feel kind of obliged to say it-
"Well, I'm back."

Welcome back to AU mu dear! I dont think that we've ever met , so -ahem- Im Saira
Its really great to see people coming back this summer I know that I more or less did the same thing. I had to leave the lovely AU family here due to real life eating me up for a little while, but I finally gave in to 'cravings' as you call them
Aussie Rocks! Despite living in Canada, Im most definitely Aussie at heart. I spent two weeks in Australia three years ago and its all I dream about. Im trying to end up in university there...
So welcome again! Im sure that you'll soon get familiar with all the new faces

Welcome back dear!
I remember you! It's nice to see some old fellows coming back on AU after a bit!
You're studying French? Why this smiley?!
Allez, ça ne doit pas être si terrible que ça, non?!

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Saira- Yep, Australia is the best, except that it's a long way from anywhere. I'm actually planning to head to Canada for a while after I finish school. I hear it's a great country and besides, the visa scheme you guys have for young Australians is awesome.
Nessa- J'adore français. Mais je suis en terminale, et il y a beaucoup de travail! Surtout pour français. Ainsi ...
And I bet I just left out all the definite articles (Le/la). I always lose marks for that.

Welcome back, dear! Of course I remember you. The better question is whether you remember me. Two years is quite a while, and I won't be offended if you don't.

Many names seem vaguely familiar. Larael & Smeagollum, definitely. Unfortunately I'm a very visual person, so I tend to get lost anytime someone changes their siggy.
Was PD short for something, Calloniel?
And this seems a good place to ask, as it's an embarrassing sign of my newbie-ish-ness.... What's Return of the Rings? I've found the request thread, and the official 2007 announcement, but nothing '09.

Return of the Rings is our annual summer celebration of the Lord of the Rings. Pretty much, we are trying to bring LotR back each summer... Feel free to join in whenever you can.

Le francais c'est "overrated" Even though I lived in France Im not too fond of the language. However, you speak it quite well
Ohh!!! I was thinking of doing the program, but my parents dont want me to miss a year so... Lets see. However I invite you to come to Alberta. Up in the mountains it is positively overrun with Aussie teenagers doing the visa exchange

Hehe, yes. We are taking over the world, one mountain at a time. You shall all eat vegemite and greet each other with "g'day mate"! Mwahahaha!
Erm... anyway.
I've sort of been looking at Vancouver, as a starting point. But Alberta would be good, too. I guess you have a year and a bit to persuade me.
And my french. Well. It may appear to be okay, but the minute I have a spoken conversation I'm lost. I usually understand what people are talking about, but responses are almost impossible. It just gets stuck. I've been know to come out with answers in Swedish instead. Given I have my big, final oral exam in 4 months, I'm in trouble.

^Thanks. It sure is good to be back.
Calloniel (PD) wrote: Celeb, (mind that nickname? ) aye, PD is short for something… it’s the abbreviations of my original username Pirates’ Destiny. When I changed my name to Calloniel I didn’t want to confuse people so I added on my nickname from my original username and, voila, it stuck. Lol
Pirates Destiny rings some bells. And yeah, Celeb is fine. Do you prefer PD, or Call, or something else?

Welcome back! I don't think I knew you, but your name sounds familiar, or that's just me thinking that because I just read your name.... I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm Syneva (or just Syn). Hope to see you around!
