I think my favorite character would probably have to be Theoden. But then, I'm fascinated by sympathetic and complex villians, so I also really like Gollum/Smeagol and Grima (though Grima really creeps me out >.<).

It's true, Grima's so creepy in the movie! Sometimes I wish they hadn't made him so slimy and strange-looking. He's so much more complex than that, with his suffering Saruman's abuse and his love/lust for Eowyn. He's a difficult one to figure out.
