Hi! I´m Samlalaith I´m new here and this is my first time in a forum. I´m from Colombia,but i speak English as you see. LOTR is my favorite series of all time and I love all of Tolkien´s books. I also like fantasy ,mistery,sci-fi,romantic and historic books. I like too many tv shows to mention all but my favourite are Doctor Who Downton Abbey,Sherlock and Merlin I love instrumental music and rock,I trying to learn to play violin. I hope I have lots of fun in this fou with you guys.  Namarie

Hello everyone! I'm Apryl, and I'm so excited to be joining you all on this forum! I'm a homeschool graduate, I live in Florida, and some of my interests are photography, reading good books, playing the piano, and baking. I have loved The Lord of the Rings ever since my parents read The Hobbit out loud with me when I was about 8, and then I went on to read LotR after that. I remember being so mad when my dad went to see the movies at the theatre, but I had to wait because I was too young!  I know only a couple of people who share the same love of Middle-earth (and the genre of fantasy) as I do, so I am very grateful for this forum - it's so good to be among kindred spirits here! I'm looking forward to having good discussions and getting to know you all!

Welcome aboard! I seem to be the only Tolkien fan in my family, so these discussion forums (I'm a member of quite a few, including theOneRing.net, though you'll know me as the Queen of Erebor on that one) are the only places I feel really at home. The rest of my family prefers comedies (which I don't find that entertaining. The only reason I watch them on television is because there's nothing better on, or else I would be watching that instead), so I sometimes feel a little left out, since I don't share this interest. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, and see you around the boards.  _________________

Welcome Gwirithiel! I too feel like the only LotR fan in my area, not many people I know have the patience it seems to read the books, or to even sit through the movies. (i take pity on them, they dont know what they're missing!) I look forward to seeing you around the forum! _________________

Hi! I'm Arundelle. I married into a family of LOTR fans, haha! We have had LOTR movie watching marathon parties. I'm planning on reading the Silmarillion soon. I think Tolkien's work is some of the best ever and love what P. Jackson did with the movies!
