Well, there is the all time quote (and the one I used to open my personal statement in my Uni application) from Gandalf, 'All you have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to you'.
Plus my favourite, 'Go not to the elves for counsel, for they will say both yes and no'.
But part of LotR itself, and fandom (on AU especially) is companionship!

Baad fan, Gimli!! But I'm worse when it comes to the commentaries, since I've never watched them!!
Anyway, I remember there was a lot of the things you all have mentioned in the Misc. LotR section of the forum... Perhaps you (or me... or whoever wants!) could go have a nostalgic look and see if there is anything we haven't mentioned yet...
