I was surfing on the net for Tolkien stuff and found this site. I am a girl from Norway ( you know, the Vikings :) ). I'm a really dedicated Tolkien fan and whenever I have a free moment you'll see me read in one of his books. I'm sorry if my english isn't so good but I hope you can forgive me. I dont have any friends who is very interested in Tolkien so I tought it would be fun to see what its like here. And if you wonder, Aftenstjerne means Evenstar :) I actually loved the films but of course the nothing beats the books!

Welcome to A-U Aftenstjene.
That's a very pretty name. After four years and after the hype about the movies died down, this is still a fairly Tolkien-oriented forum. We have some interesting discussions on the LotR-related boards *advertising* and also a lot of LotR RPGs, graphics and clubs.. and then we have everything else by the way.
I'm sure you'll find something for your taste here.

Thank you everybody for being so nice! And Larael: Aftenstjerne is norwegian for Evenstar, I tought it would be cool to have a name in norwegian :). I hope to see you all around!

Aftenstjerne is what they've translated Evenstar into in Norwegian. It's directly translated, actually. Even(ing)=aften, star=stjerne. Evenstar=Aftenstjerne :D
I'd forgotten about it, though. It sounds really... strange to me. I'm almost ashamed, to have forgotten a LotR name - in my own language *goes to corner and is ashamed of self*

Welcome to A-U! :welcome2: Tha's a very nice username. You are very good at English, don't worry about that. You got it down here. We have people from all over so everyone will understand. :hug: I don't have very man friends interested in Tolkien either :(
