Don't worry about your English, there are people from all over the world here whose first language isn't English (like me) and your English is fine

Welcome Paul! I'm Rose of Rivendell, but just call me Rose for short. I'm glad that you've decided to join us and I hope you'll have a wonderful time here at A-U.com! We have many members here that actually didn't stay that long at other forums, but regularly come to A-U. I hope you'll visit us here for a quite long time. The site and the forum are really great. I know that it's a bit overwhelming first of all, as there are so many members and as there's so much to do, but take your time to explore everything. I'm sure you'll like it here.
And don't worry about your English. It sounds quite good to me. Besides, we have members from all over the world, so see the forum as a chance to improve your knowledge step by step while having much fun.

Hello Paul! Am so very glad you have stumbled upon A-U! We're always warmly welcoming everyone in.  I haven't finished reading the trilogy yet but I'm getting there. Heh, I can be such a slow reader at times.
And like everyone else has said above, don't worry about your English (which is very good by the way). There are many others here with another language as their mother tongue so do not despair about feeling alone.

Aww another Dutch member! We have many Dutch people on the forum. Welcome to A-U Carannar. It's a great name! I'm sure you will find anything to your liking here, be it LotR discussions or anything else. In Your Life forum you can meet the members of the site and get to know them better. The Club forum is also a good place to start if you want to meet people. If you like Role Play there are still a lot of PotC RPG's going on in the non-LotR section, and many people are still making PotR related graphics if you need some! Feel free to PM me or post in this thread if you have any questions or concerns!

I'm Feanaro Calalaen, aka Vasya, from Oklahoma in the USA. I have read the trilogy, hobbit, and my personal fave, Silmarillion, many times over. I have all 3 movies also. My favorite character is Aragorn. |

It sounds like you will fit right in here. Great to see another Silmarillion fan. We have a lot of LotR discussions going on in the book and movie sections and we would love to have you joining in there! But whatever your interests are - LotR-related - or others I'm sure you'll find them covered somewhere here!
