Yes, we are starting are "Return of the Rings" so there is probably going to be a fair amount of confusing stuff on here. I say this because I don't even understand it all yet. Although, I know that you will have an awesome time here, and feel free to PM me to help with anything or just chat.

Let's see, contests.

Someone puts up a requirement for others to do (Make a graphic, draw something, write, etc.) He/she includes all of the criteria that must be in it (very diverse, but, for example, graphics may be bland sizes). Then, a date is set up for everyone to have their enteries due in by (this doesn't have to be immediate). With enteries, people around the forum with read what your contest is and see if they are able to do it/would like to do it. Then, if they would, they make the certain entry for the contest and post it in the thread. When the due date arrives, the person that made the contest has a poll where others vote to determine who is first, second, third, etc.

Now, to sum up:
1. Think of an idea for a competition
2. Post it, with requirements and due dates
3. Others see if they will like to do it.
4. Others will give you the enteries
5. You keep track of the enteries
6. When due date comes, create a poll
7. Announce the winners.
(If you are only wanting to participate, you only need to do steps 3 and 4)
