Post subject:  I'm sorry, but I must go...
..for a while, at least.

I've been mulling this over for a long time now, and seeing Ellie and Erana's threads has spurred me to action.

I thought I had my life under control, but I just don't. Over the past few months my home life has deteriorated drastically, and I, already depressed, am now worse off than ever before. I've turned to self-harm, fighting, and... other vices to relieve my anger and depression. Even so, more and more I have found myself taking up arms at the slightest comment by anyone, especially my friends on this forum. I spend hours of my day browsing, just to escape everything, but it's no longer working. I need to do something different.

That was basically a long winded and fractured way of me announcing that I'm leaving for a while. I've realized that I need serious help, and time to think over everything that's going on. I may be gone a week, maybe a year, but I promise I'll be back sooner or later. Until then, I can still be found on

I'm sorry that you're leaving tim, and although I can't even begin to understand what you are going through, it sounds like a wise move.

I really hope you can get yourself feeling better and that when you do return to us, you are a happier person.

Aww tim.. I'm really sorry you're leaving us. Although maybe it is for the better no matter how hard it is for us to realise. You're a brilliant lad and I know you'll go far in life. When you get all the help you need come back here. We'll still be waiting.. :hug: Good luck!

i'm really sorry to hear that - it'll be sad and strange not seeing you around for a while, and i hate to see anyone going through the hell of depression. i just want to say that however bleak things seem now, they can and will get better - i had a major depressive episode seven years ago but i beat it and that means so can you. the fact that you're taking this positive step shows you're already on the way there.

you'll be in my thoughts and prayers, and i look forward to your glorious return.

Poor Timmy. One thing is to realize one needs help another is to get the proper professional help and I really hope you'll be able to change the negative issues in your life. I'm really sorry to hear that you feel this way and it makes me feel like doing something for you... I might not be able to do much anyway, but I'll send my positive thoughts your way.
I will miss our long conversations in the music section and on the forum in general and I hope you'll be able to return again soon. :hug:

I'm sorry to hear that you're leaving, Tim - I don't even know you, but I too left a forum for exactly the same reasons as you did, and I hope you find the help you need and get better. Just know that things will change, as they did for me, almost a year ago now. Good luck, and stay safe!

I know I am too late for you to actually read this, but still mate, I can't even begin or try to understand what you are going through, and I hope that you get better, no matter how long it takes, even if it means I can't joke around with you for a while. Aw, tim, I'm really sorry life has been so hard for you. The situation you're in sounds really rough. I totally understand what you mean by usuing A-U as an escape. But I'm so proud of you that you realize you need help. You realize there's a problem, and that's good, but only the first step.
You probably won't read this, but I'd suggest trying to get in touch with a counselor, or at least a trusted adult. You can't do this by yourself.
I'll be thinking of you and praying for you, tim.

I'm afraid that you all have to deal with me again... for a total of 24 hours. :P

Tomorrow I leave for a weekend in the Pocanos followed immediately by a trip to Pittsburgh for an Interpol concert. Then, when I get back I have to run a week-long camp. After that I get a week to breathe, then it's off to NYC (MUUUUSE!) and Texas.

So hello and goodbye! :P
