Thank you!!! :D I've heard about it on Council of Elrond, and I also stumbled across it back when the movies were coming out when I searched for Lord of the Rings pictures online.

Hehe...I'm also an English grader, and I was marking errors in a paper the other day that mentioned the site. I had forgotten about it and had been looking to get involved on an online forum, so I realized this was my perfect opportunity!! :D

Hey Goldelf and Ara and Call!! Ara? My best friend goes uses Ara as her LOTR nickname...translated her first name Sarah for her Elvish name. :)

A paper... hmm, who do we know who's written a paper on AU? I can't think of anyone, which makes sense if they didn't post it here of course. :P

It was just an English assignment...it didn't focus on AU, but the girl is a big LOTR fan. The paper was about a memorable moment in the student's life, so she wrote about being in what was basically a LOTR LARP, and she mentioned AU in it, although I don't remember why.

hehe...you never know the little coincidences you can come across in daily life. So now I know there's someone who attends my own college who's on AU--if only I could find out who! :)

OK, so I believe we've discovered through xanga and PM that it's me who goes to school with you. :-P And I'm pretty much positive that that was my paper you were marking! Woah... this is so weird I'm just a little freaked out now... :lol:

I'll have to say hi to you next time I see you in real life. Have we ever actually been officially introduced? I mean, I know who you are...


Anyways... welcome to the forum! It's incredibly awesomely-amazing to have someone from my University here on A-U. :) I hope you enjoy it here; it really is a great forum (obviously I think so, or else I wouldn't have mentioned it in that English assignment...)

Hehe thanks all!!! :D I definitely feel quite at home on this forum now, thanks to all the amazing people on here!

And I'm happy to have found the person from college I was talking about...Altariel, this is quite surreal for me too...but really cool!
