Hey hey hey

I'm Lembas, or Lee, and i'm 17 and from England!

its kind of silly because i've known about this forum for ages, but have never bothered to look at it- so Finally I did and here i am!!!

I've been a huuuuuuuge Tolkien geek since just before the films came out and haven't got over it since :) not that i want to!! My fav characters are probably Aragorn, legolas , Faramir, Sam and Eowyn... i can't choose!!! and admittedly i am a teeny tiny bit of a fangirl :) but who can't be with such a beautiful looking cast

Appart from lotr i love theatrical things, i'm a big fan of musicals and love performing in them probably more than watching them. speaking of which i saw the lotr stage show back in january and again in July- has any one else seen it?? its soo incredible, though it cuts out lots of very cool stuff which is sad- its such a shame its closed now :( I also Love photoshopping, I mostly make wallpapers but have started bannering again, because its a quicker and lazier for me :)

ok enough about myself :)

Hope to have fun here lol and I love the emoticons! :explode:

Mae govannen and welcome to AU.
The forum is a really big and important part of the site so I hope we won't disappoint you. Actually you can find anything Tolkien related in the LotR sections and just about anything your heart desires with movies, literature, roleplaying and graphic making. I'm not a graphics maker, but I'm content to stand in awe and admire all the talented and creative people. I'm sure you'll fit right in with them!
It's easy to get lost in the beginning but if you need tips or have any questions you can always post here or PM me personally. I'd love to help you to a good start!

See you around. :-)

Yeah, the LotR craze is sadly fading out, but I promise you will still find people here who will dive into all aspects of Tolkien's work, myself included, and I'd say our new members still join because of the love for LotR. This is a very active forum and people constantly find something to obsess about or share on the Your life board, which has become the beating heart of AU, sorta the warming fireplace where everyone comes together and meets up after having posted all around in the various subforums.

I love your banner, I assume you made it yourself? I like the glow, especially around Eowyn. :-)

Yeah its such a shame that people aren't as enthusiastic as they were 2 or 3 years ago- I kind of hope that when the hobbit films come out things will pick up a bit, it'll be quite cool to have the lotr hype back :)

I did indeed, and the glow was actually unintended, just the way the lighting on the picture was and i fiddled with the colour

Oh don't worry, I'm sure the world will go nuts again when the Hobbit is released! :P
By the way, the moderators and members are really active here with a revival of the fandom every summer so we definitely try to keep the spirit alive! Frodo Lives! :teehee:

 The Return of the Rings are some pretty awesome times. :welcome2: to the forum Lembas! I've already died of awe from seeing your graphics. And I'm sure you'll fit right in here! Oooh yay, another Sam fan! A musical fan? I love watching musicals. I like acting too, but it just takes up so much time so I don't get to that much. The LotR musical? Sadly, haven't seen it. Anywho, welcome to the forum and if you have questions or whatnot feel free to PM me!

Hi there! It's brilliant to be meeting a fellow 17 year old from England. :) Whereabouts are you from? What county? You're so lucky you've seen the LotR stage show. I'd heard about it, but never actually saw it. Ah well... too late now I suppose.

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy the forum, and I'll see you around!

Hey there, it is indeed brilliant, I don't think i know anyone whos 17 & British who's a ringer so thats awesome!! I'm from Bedfordshire in East Anglia how about you???
I think i was lucky to see the stage version, especially the 2nd time, I got a call from a friend after school who had cheap tickets- it may not yet be too late though, its apparently coming back during the hobbit hype in 2010 *crosses fingers*

To AU Lembas, first off I must say I adore your name... Lembas!!! yay for Lembas Bread... anyways I be Pandora, Pandy, Panneth, Pan, Panda, Panda-Bandana, Pandy-Panda, Panfred... as you can see I have developed quite a few nicknames... feel free to call me anything you wish... rl name=Ashley, 19 years of age.... giggles ^^

Yay for being a Tolkien Geek!! You have come to the right place than mellon! Aragorn and Legolas are probably my favorite two characters with a side of Gandalf <--- sounds like I am ordering food... ha

I really wanted to see the LotR Muscial, but I never got the chance to go see it, by the graphics I saw it looked really cool and unique and I am sad to hear that it is now closed... maybe they will revive it sometime later... I lover performing in plays, can't sing but I can act :bounce:

Well hope to see you around Lembas!!!

-Panneth and Fin <--- Glorfindel being my AU husband

Thanks Pandorra, I was surprised it was available, I always try to be lembas on lotr forums but its always stolen so i was happy :)

crap i knew i forgot someone off my fav characters! honestly how could forget gandalf! He's one of the best especially as Gandalf the white!!

the musical was awesome, nothing like the films and probably more like the highlights of the story, but it was amazing, there was this insane revolving stage and the balrog actually had me gaping, it was like a giant origami thing with wind and red lights and black paper being thrown everywhere- its going to germany in 09 then hopefully being revived as a tour in the uk in 2010 so I'm looking forward to that :)

aww your married to glorfindel thats cute!!! haha i'd ask to marry legolas but that makes me look like a big looser fan girl and H'e probably been snagged already :)

It is surprising the names that are still available. I think because people sometimes to like to jazz up their names with squiggles or longer names, so the simple names are never taken...

 You forgot Gandalf! How dare you  just joking..

Oh that sounds so great! I love musicals, Phantom being my favorite so far, probably also because that was the first one I saw on broadway, so it has a sentimental value of sorts... 2010.. that never seemed so far away ^^

Thankies! We have been married 2 years!! yay us... unfortunately Legolas is taken, I think multiple times... haha, otherwise I would have married him long ago... I think Orlando Bloom is taken as well unfortunately ><

It is odd, but it makes me happy because i can use it :)

& shame on me forgetting gandalf and i call myself a fan ha!

I love the film of phantom but I've not seen it on stage- which i reeally want to, i've been backstage though-which was pretty damn awesome- my first west end show was the Lion King- but My fair lady is probably one of myfavs down to the sentimental value of that- 2nd west end show i saw, it was at drury lane- the home of lotr and the first show i did with my drama group

it doesn't surprise me he's taken I've been on forums where competitions have been held to see who had the right to marry him- looking back its kinda pathetic, but I remember taking it so seriously!!!

Wow, that is incredible that you got to go backstage!!! Lucky!!

Oh I wanted to see the Lion King, but we could only see one show when we were in New York and so Phantom was the choice, which I am glad... it was absolutely incredible and started my love of musicals!

Competitions, yes over at the Legolas Fan Club that we have here we fight over the elf quite frequently, poor Legsie gets thrown about so much.
