Hey, I just signed up today .
am a huge Lord of the Rings fan as well as Tolkien.
cant wait to start joining in discussions!

I must say, I'm really curious about your country flag. Are you from Bahrain or are you from another country but live in Bahrain? Most of us are either European or North American so it's always exciting with other cultures.

I hope you'll enjoy yourself here. We're right in the middle of a site/forum revival and major update so exciting times lie ahead, for sure.

Definetly going to do that, thank you for the advice. hopefully some time soon ill have a banner as cool as yours.

Hello Eru, i must say im very glad to be here. When i heard about the site revival i thought it was a good time to finally join. yes i am from Bahrain, ive lived here all my life however i also have Scottish heratidge. If you have any questions feel free to ask :) I must tell you that while Bahrain is small, there is no shortage of Lotr fans :-D
Let me know what you think of the video link i posted regarding the 7 wonders of middle earth . Great to hear from you .

I don't think I've ever met anyone from Bahrain before! How awesome it is that Tolkien's work really does reach the four corners of the globe (even if the Middle East is right in the middle, hehe).

Doesn't it get awfully hot in the summer over there? I'm from Sweden and anything above 25*C is unbearable for me, haha. I'm too much of a warm-blooded Viking, me thinks.

I dont think ive met anyone from Sweden before either :-D yes it is awesome, ive got all his books and think theyre all amazing though especially Lord of the Rings.

yes it can get very hot here :confuzzled: sometimes it can get to around 30 in the summer. Last summer i remember that one day we reached 41*C.
How cold does it get there? if it gets to any temperature below 14 i tend to almost freeze :lol:
Warm blooded viking haha that sounds so cool lol I like the scandanavian countries. maybe you could teach me some swedish? ive started learning Finnish but Sweden is also on my list of places to visit. i hear it has some beautiful scenery

Haha 14*C is like.. nice and comfortable to me. In the winter, it usually drops down to -5*C or -10*C with lots and lots of snow. In the far north of Sweden they often get -40*C in the winter, but I live further south so the coldest I've ever experienced was -23*C (though that was a rare occasion). In the summer it usually stays around 25*C, though sometimes we even get 28*C or 30*C (the hottest temperature I've experienced in Sweden was 33*C).

Sweden is lovely. Such beautiful nature with dark forests, deep blue lakes (we have 97,000 of them!), flowery meadows, green pastures, snowy mountains. Very much like Middle Earth! :)

Welcome Elessar, another new member and from a 'new' country. I love how people show off their country flags in the profile - it's a pretty new feature we got when the forum was recently updated.

Thank you Ea. Yes, proud of my country and i believe im the only one in the entire forum from Bahrain haha. its great to see the forum coming back. getting started in the forums as we speak :-D

I'm curious.. how did you find this forum? We haven't had so many new members joining in a long time. I guess it's partly the Hobbit-hype starting to show and partly the fact that we're working actively on the forum again. :P

i found out about the forum when I googled Arwen cos i wanted to find out which actress played her. This website was on the 1st page of results. I was going to join a while back but didnt when i saw that there wasnt too much activity.
Glad things are getting active again. i'm Enjoying posting :)

What about you, how did you find out about the forum?
