If this is in the wrong place, I apologize. Looking through the forum index, I didn't see a spot to post this question.
Ok, the subject heading says it. I'm writing, and pretty far along in the development of a modern (non-fantacy) romantic thriller. Oh, and it involves Eldiel...the 'reality' behind the mythology. I've done quite a bit of reading on Quenya and Sindarin, etc., but I'm finding that, though I enjoy writing, the subject of language study is about as foreign to me as Trigonometry. It gives me headaches. So I decided to ask questions.
I'm starting with the most basic of all. I would like a few names, especially girls names, that could slip by in an English speaking society, yet would be rooted in the Elvish language. I'm not looking for something in the movies or the books. I would make something up, but I don't have a large enough understanding of the (preferably Quenya) language to know how you would even begin to do that.
If anyone is enough into the language study, and would be willing to dialogue with a new writer, it would be incredibly awesome.
