Hellohello! I'm Elle, and it's very nice to meet you all! While I'm new to this particular site, Tolkien and I go back a very long time ... in some senses, longer than I'd care to admit. However I feel all things have come full circle as I'm now gifted with the ability to *cough* con students *cough* I mean, give extra credit to! into reading all of these fabulous books.

..Personally I'm probably most fond of the Histories of Middle Earth, which makes sense given I've recently started up a RPG based, mainly, off of the Silmarillion. Although as far as books go, I love them all.

Beyond that? I'm very not-an-interesting-person. Sorry to disappoint! I ride horses and show my own, competitively. Thankfully I have summers off because I'm in education. High school history (../social studies/economics/foreign policy type things) is my forte although I actually specialize in Japanese history 1600-1880.

Welcome to the forum! And actually, I find horses and history to be rather interesting, so there's people here who share your interests outside of Tolkien! :lol: Hope you enjoy the site!

I recognise the banner in your signature, you've been promoting that RP on tumblr haven't you? :D I'd considered joining, but then I remembered I'm already balancing 3 tumblr RP accounts and don't have the time. Still, it looks fun, from my glance around the site. :P

Thank you everyone, for your very warm greetings! It's very nice to meet you all.

LithĂ´niel, it's very nice to hear that birds of a feather can, indeed, flock together! Normally I'm immersed in academia which is relatively isolated..or hiding at a barn, but most people are rather reluctant to converse with sweaty, dust-covered individuals so. Again. Yeah. Pretty quiet. It's nice to hear there are others, though!!

Shadowcat, we have indeed! I'm..particularly inept with Tumblr but I'm lucky enough to have a few members who are gloriously willing to help me out with that. If you drop by again you should hop in the cBox and say hey, we love to chat.
(And if you ever consider joining…we're a very laid back crew and don't really put much pressure on people to be hyperactive. It's meant to be fun, not stress and work!)
