I absolutely love LoTR! The only thing I don't love about it is the ending of RoTK, everything ends. Sadly.

i am burak, if something is good on world,it has always a ending. life is cruel. u like sam(sean),i dont like him. in fact i dont like hobbits much. but the others musnt hear this or they get angry to me.

I know how U feel about the ending of ROTK. I feel the same way. I don't want to say i didn't like the ending, its just, it kind of left off. I felt that they should have discribed what happened to Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn, and Arwen. (Not including where Aragorn is crowned king). But, it was a good movie.

alas, it does end! i must say it was a very weird feeling just sitting in the theater, telling myself, "it's all over, it's done. no more LotR movies to wait for." i just couldn't believe it!

i too did not like the ending, but i did not like it so much b/c they did not do the scouring of the shire

Allow me to introduve myself: I am pirateoftherings (affectionately named pirate, potr, pirates, or any other version of my name you can come up with ). I am all-around obsessed with (okay, I wouldn't say obsessed, for risk of sounding weird...maybe just very interested in) LOTR, and POTC (thus the name). I feel it necessary to inform you that I am the only relatively sane person here, and I am always around should you need a temporary break from the chaos wreaked by such members as Gwen, Izzy, and Beri. I personally was very content with the ending of ROTK in the books (though I was sad for it to be over), but I am very angry with Jackson for cutting out all the good stuff in the movies . Ah, but this would begin another one of my ramblings on a completely unrelated subject, so I shall stop there. I am very tired and more than ready for bed, so I won't say anything more about myself. Welcome and have a wonderful time as part of the A-U family!

P.S.- (Please disregard all remarks about my sanity, as they are very false. I am positively insane and should be kept from all pirate-related discussions at all cost, as well as anything relating to Tom Bombadil, Glorfindel, Gollum, Arwen, Helm's Deep, Halbarad, Faramir, Legolas, Saruman, the Scouring of the Shire, or anything else P.J. royally messed up. Hello everyone!

I remember when i first saw the RoTK movie. When the end credits starting I sat on the floor staring up at it, wide-eyed and not moving. I was so sad.
I remember when I younger and my cousin had to read the LoTR books for school and I asked him to read some to me and when he was done even reading the first page, I said huh?
So I grew up not liking the books and then I heard about a movie so I thought, oh great it'll be a movie full of stuff I don't understand. But at the theater I stuck my head in and I'm like dude this is sweet! So I wnet home and read the 2nd half of the first book (the first was all printed wrong) and I was in love.

I wuv emoticons, they are so cool!

Hi, and welcome to the forum, Failariel Nenharma! I'm Elenmir, or Miri for short. I know exactly what you mean about the ending. I myself was so sad, and I kept asking myself why it had to end there. That's the one of the main reasons I joined this forum, I wanted to keep learning more and more about LotR, and what better way to do it then to talk to others about it?
