| Post subject: | Blog lathe chucks |
The design and manufacture of the lathe chuck is primarily arranged in such a way that the workpiece is firmly fixed during machining, however the quality and design of the chuck also directly and immediately affects the functioning and efficiency of the chuck. Though cheap lathe chucks would be sufficient in the simple operations, they cannot be applied in heavy work or delicate work. The low quality of the lathe chuck could imply that the work piece might be clamped-in and therefore not in a position whereby the machining will be done inaccurately. Where hard metals are used in work, or where parts in the processes are extremely intricate, quality of the lathe chuck cannot be afforded to be adhered to. The high quality chucks are created in such a way that they cut consistently and deliver a perfect cut to the machinists with an assurance that their workpieces will remain steady throughout the machining process. |
