I'm new around this site, and I'd like to make friends here.
I'd also like to ask a question- would someone please explain the ranking system here?

Whoa, I'm pretty honored to be the first to welcome. Being that I've hardly ever had that glory. =D
If you have any problems, questions, blah, just ask me or anyone around. Ohh, and be careful not to be infected by the insane bugs that frequently roam around the area. You might just find yourself turning slightly crazy, like all of us mentals here.

Mae govannen Elf_Friend. If you want to know about the ranking system its in the FAQ. Basically it goes thus:
0-49=hobbit
50-99=dwarf
100-249=dunadan
250-499=elf
500-999=maia
1000+=Vala
