Just thought that I would introduce myself.

Been reading and enjoying Tolkien for many many years (my LoTR edition was printed in 1974), and I remember reading a copy even earlier.

Studied extensively, for too long some people would say. Had a variety of professions in engineering and sciences.

Don't get to admire the sky as much as I did when I was younger (although I have recently bought a very nice telescope for astrophotography), but I do enjoy nature and try to be "out there" as often as I can. Even if it is in my backyard under a favorite tree, or tending to my garden beds.

Look forward to some interesting conversations on the forum.
