um... yeh, I'd just like to introduce myself :bounce:

I'm an 17 yr old student from Norway and I found this site searching for some screencaps. I like to write, draw, mess with comps, snowboard, I practice taekwondo, and the best thing in the world is having a good book to read and no homework.

Um... favorite authors; Robert Jordan, Terry Pratchett, Terry Goodkind, Juliet Marillier, Philip Pullman, J.K. Rowling, Laurell K. Hamilton ++

No, my name's not elvish, it's a name of a character in one of my stories; also "Eil" is my artist name. Which brings me back to those lovely screencaps...

I'm trying to develop my skills at making wallpapers/posters. It would mean a lot of some people gave me some requests I can work with, because moviewallpapers aren't great in demand in the forums I usually visit.

Your welcome. Which programme do you use? I'm guessing Photoshop but I hope its Paint Shop Pro (I use that) so I can use some of the tuts you might post!! :D

How do you do that? I'd like to make some myself :blush:
btw do you need any special programme for it? cause I have an iMac, which is a little old (one of the reasons I have a dumb version of msn :disgust: )

I use Photoshop 7.0 - not the newest versipn, but it works fine for me. If you'd like a free 30 days trial, just search "adobe photoshop tryouts download" on google. There are trials for both PC and Mac. It might be hard at first, but you learn as you go and most artists on the net are self-taught.

Johnny's Fan, Paint Shop Pro should be about the same as Photoshop, only a bit better after what I've heard. Anyhow, it shouldn't be too big a problem for you to follow a Photoshop tutorial. Just try to achieve the same effect as that shown and improvise ;)

That's my nickname for you now! I'm glad you decided to join the forum! And it great to find someone else who has an interest in making graphics, and might I say, those are some AMAZING wallpapers that you have there! *applauds* very nice! Well, hopefully you'll be an active member, especially since there's so much you can do around here! You can enter contests (writing and graphics), play games, be silly and random, join clubs, do LOTR and Non-LOTR RPs, JOIN THE a-u Forum Family Tree and so much more!
