Yes, I'm new...
I'm also a rather new fan of Tolkien too. I just watched the movies for the first time two months ago and just read the books a week ago. I know...sad isn't it? I'm currently reading The Hobbit. My favorite LOTR movie is The Two Towers...though I simply adore the parts with Faramir and Eowyn in Return of the King: Extended Version...if you can't tell by my signature!! So yes...I just recently became a LOTR fan...which is very very sad. But! Now that I am I'm an obsessed one, most of my friends don't understand me. I have two that actually DO understand me (that makes me feel better)...but one is in New Zealand right now (and she gets to see Hobbiton! How amazing is that?!?!) so I'm rather alone right now. And that's why I'm here because...duh...everyone makes fun of my LOTR obsessions and I will have some understanding friends here...lol. I should just go get my pet Balrog and then we'll see what they say!! MWAHAHAHAHAA!!!
My favorite characters are:
Eowyn
Legolas
Faramir
Pippin
Aragorn
Arwen
and of course,
Sam

Definitely top two favorites are Eowyn and Legolas. But Faramir and Pippin are a VERY close third.

My username (estelio_han) is elvish. Arwen says it in The Two Towers and it means trust this. It's the part where she says, "If you trust nothing else...trust this. Trust us." I love that part!! So yeah. I haven't made myself an avatar yet but I'm thinking it will be Pippin and Legolas...since I have Eowyn and Faramir on my sig.

For only having seen each of the movies three or four times I can quote them really really good and I already know so much stuff about it I almost beat one of my obsessed LOTR friends on Friday night at LOTR Trivial Pursuit. I only got hung up on the Making Movies catagory because I haven't had time to watch that yet. (She's not the one in New Zealand.) And she has been an LOTR fan for a long time! She even has the Ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I considered strangling her for it, but I decided that's just too Gollum and not at all my style. But yes...

That's all about me and why I got on here...ahhh...now I just need some other crazy LOTR fans to come and console me...lol.

Wow!! What a introduction!!

Don't worry about being a recent fan, I only became one after FOTR had been out over a year, so it took a while for me too. I haven't even read the books yet so your way ahead of me! TTT is my second favourite LOTR film but it contains one of my favourite scenes ever - The Last March Of The Ents. Hey you have LOTR Trivial Pursuit!! The DVD version is great, even better than the normal one.

I love your username, it's nice and origianl. I suppose had I thought about it I could have picked a better one than mine!! Speaking of which...

I've been checking out the trip updates site for my friend while she's in New Zealand and I'm finding some cool pictures. Only one of Hobbiton so far, but that's okay 'cause I don't think they've been there yet and I think it's only a promo photo. But I have found two of her so that makes me VERY happy!!
