I like the fact that there's a character called "the other elf." Like a nod to all the innumerable elf extras in the books that have names but not much more. Also the silly song was fabulous. Also the name sporcs got me every time.  _________________

OMG I thought this movie was hilarious. I loved the sporks too and their cookies.
I totally did not get the guy with the umbrella though... What was that about?

Oh! I guess I never saw that. I'm a movie fan, though....  I have never actually read any of the books. So I know almost nothing about the characters that we're not in the movies. _________________

Ehh I hadn't either so don't feel embarrassed. Thanks to the movies I did end up reading the books later on. But for a quick parallel between the two they both sang a lot about random things. lol
