The world has changed. Much that once was is lost For few live who remember it. Only a few years ago we were in the middle of Fandom Swamp. At that time, Return of the King, Peter Jackson's version of Tolkien's RotK was released in theatres and blew away the Oscars, winning 11 awards in all. Long...In Joy Thou Hast Dwelt Beware of the Sea! These words of Galadriel to Legolas Greenleaf can, unfortunately, be applied to ringers today. Long we dwelt in the joy of our fandom, underneath the cool green forest of PJ's trilogy of movies. As time wore on, however, many of us traveled to the very edges of the forest, where we caught a glimpse of the huge, shining sea of other obsessions. Unfortunately, like Legolas, instead of dwelling in peace and happiness in the forest while also enjoying the delights of the sea, we turned our thoughts away, dwelling on the sea. That future is almost gone. But it is not lost! We mods would like to invite y'all to join us as we all get together and watch PJ's extended edition Lord of the Rings movies in the chatroom three weekends every month this summer. To ensure a safe, clean, fun, and exciting Movie-Mania-Chattime we will password-protect the chatroom WHILE the movie is running. To enter, simply type "Council" but remember! the point of these times is to laugh, rant, rave, and simply kick back and enjoy the movie---together! At least one or two mods will be present for each and every viewing. June 10th-FotR at 12 noon EDT led by Eruadan and Arsarniel June 17th-TTT at 12 noon EDT June 24th-RotK at 12 noon EDT

I don't think so, not at this point, anyway. AU is, first and foremost, a Lord of the Rings fansite, and we want to focus on Tolkien, especially this summer.

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.
Who wants to join me in bringing back the lady?

I agree with ye on that. I was just wondering about it later down the road, as in after summer is all.

Right. That is, unless your comp is positioned so that you can watch it on your TV or something else at the same time. Like mine is; I can watch TV right now (am, actually) at the same time as I type this.

Gah, I may have left, but there is no way I'm missing this! I'm gonna have to work with the time conversions though, I live in England. I think it's 4pm in England, from what I can get from Google
