^Thanks for that link, Hiril! (Hope you don't mind calling you this)

I've read the Hobbit, I hope the movie will be as good as they did with LotR! I'm a bit afraid I'll be disappointed, though.. but weren't we all when FotR came out the first time?
I think I'll keep an open mind and go see it anyway. I'm waaay too curious to let the premiere pass and wait for what the others* will say. (*read: you guys)

[size=12]Well, I don't mind you calling me Hiril, but it only means Lady... So whatver ;-) It's Lady Jocelyn as my Elvish name...

And yes, we were all a little dissapointed at how PJ didn't stick to the book and added what he wanted. I think they cut out too much and made Merry and Pippin look like complete fools... which they weren't totally in the books, at least Merry wasn't. ;-)

I think 2 part would be better, because then they could get more people interested and they would be able to add more info and not have to cut soooo much out!

I just hope they do it right and stick to Tolkien's Hobbit and not PJ's. Though I once heard, "If you want the book story... go read the book, if you want a movie, I'll give it to you" Which is a true statment. The Directors don't have to stay with the book at all, they can just say "Based on" and do whatever they want... which can be bad and good at times!

We won't know until he makes it... and that is some of what they are deabting.. because he is making 2 other movies and I hope he'll drop them to make the Hobbit.

It's too bad Legolas and Aragorn aren't it!

I certainly hope a movie of the Hobbit is made. I've read the Hobbit seven times, the first time when I was 8 years old. It's a wonderful book, and a movie would be great! :)

i really want them to make the Hobbit and im hoping that PJ is the one who actually makes it. Because although he did change a lot of things in movie, he was very close to the book which most directors usually arent. And even though it stinks that we wont be able to see Aragorn, Merry, Pip etc, i wont really mind since it'll be like the book.
