*sigh* My mom hasnt seen it. I am fine with that. My dad like it tho. To tell you the truth I dont really care what my mom thinks about stuff anymore. She has humiliated me far to amny times becasue of my pasions for me to care. So yeah. I dont care. i dont talk to her about that kind of stuff any ways.

My parent's aren't that fussed on LotR either. I know that my father has seen up to Two Towers, but can take it or leave it ( ) but my mother couldn't care less.

Well, I wouldn't say my mom doesn't like LOTR....she just can't sit through a movie hours long and doesn't have time to read. She knows enough to make Gollum jokes though she doesn't understand it. (I was quizzing her the other day about character names and the only three she got were Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol)
As for Dad, he like LOTR, not as much as I do though. He teases me about it all of the time because he knows how much I love them.

Well, my school hates LOTR (losers) and my mom doesn't love it, but she likes it well enough. Dad gives me grief, but in love.
My mom kinda regrets ever letting me see FOTR though. You see, that is what got me hooked on Middle-earth. And now I am fanatical. HAHAHA! She regrets this now, but that's okay.

When I open my mouth and say ANYTHIN about Lord of the Rings my mother just go to another room or somethig like that. Or second choice is that she asks if I could speak something else....

My parents hate it too. My dad saw the first ones with his friends and never tried to comprehend it from there, I guess.

jeez. I feel parents should encourage their kids' choice of interest, no matter what it is.

My dad loves it. he's read the books, like, 50 times. He's not the biggest fan of the movies though. My mom doesn't like it, 'cos she couldn't get into reading it. She's only tried once though. It makes me mad. I've been hooked since my dad and I read it when I was 7 or 8. We have these long discussions about the books. My mom thinks we're weird. *laughs*

I only live with my Dad so I got him to watch it and he liked it but had trouble telling the hobbbits apart and remembering names. It took us ages to see them though because he was just so busy. My brother on the other hand, takes the mick out of me and refuses to have anything to do with it.

I try all the time to make my mom or/and dad reading it. But my dad is too buzy and my mom is afraid of starting such a long book (though she has read longer books than this one ) So we watch the movies together about every two months, and that's fine.

My parents don't like LotR I persuaded my mom to watch the DVDs, but she couldn't remember much important information the next day. My sisters and my friends also don't like LotR... they don't understand why I like it so much.

Ah, mourn for the souls who have not seen the light presented by the Gospel of Tolkien.
My mom loves the books, but really doesn't like the movies. My dad... tolerates LotR, but I can't seem to make him properly like it. It annoys me.
