Lord of the Beans follows the fantastic journey of a wide-eyed Flobbit named Toto Baggypants (Junior Asparagus) who inherits a bean with amazing powers from his Uncle Billboy (Archibald Asparagus). In this moving story, young Toto learns that he has been given an extraordinary gift- but what is it for?

Together with wise Randalf, fearless ranger Ear-A-Corn, sharpshooting elf Leg-O-Lamb, and surly dwark Grumpy, Toto forms the Fellowship of the Bean and embarks on a dangerous quest to find the answer to his question.

The journey takes them across the Mountains of Much Snowia, to the Elders of Razzberry Forest, through the Blue Gate and into the desolate Land of Woe- in search of an answer. Lord of the Beans is a touching tale that dramatically and comically illustrates how important it is to use the gifts God has given us...for good.

I'm laughing out loud at this description! The names are hilarious.
It is too bad that it's not more true to the books... but then again, that's probably not the main concern for people who are writing shows starring vegetables that are intended for kids.

Yeah, honestly you have this show to thank for me giving LOTR a chance. I didn't think I would be interested in the movies when my uncle invited us to watch them so I originally wasn't going to. I came in when they were just leaving Moria and heading for Lothlorien when Aragorn and Boromir are having the conversation about Gondor. I was hooked right then.

Anyways I think it's pretty good, of course it couldn't be exactly like the books or the films, they got into some trouble for how close it was as it is. But I think it is rather funny.

Yeah I don't think they got into trouble as much for this one, but more for The Wizard of Haas one.

I think that they did a really good job considering they had to make it 1) 30 mins. long 2) with vegetables for characters, and 3) a story appropriate for and enjoyable to 5 year olds.
I also think the moral of the story was really well done as well.
Good job Veggietales! :kick:

I also agree, they did really well and some of the humor they put in was pretty good too.

Yes. Even though it is goody I loved the scene about the Blue gate and how "Earacorn" goes on and on about it and then when they get to the res gate he is like "But it's not red." Then Randolph is all like, "Don't take everything so literally."

Yeah and my sisters and I like the umbrella guy, though I'm not sure if he was supposed to represent somebody or not.

Yeah. Lol I never could figure out if he was supposed to be someone specific or not. Maybe he is Galadriel... O_@. Lol

Or maybe they went for nod to a book character like Tom Bombadil with the singing and jolly mood and everything.

Now that would actually make sense.

I was totally joking about Faladriel but Tom Bombadil would actually be a plausible explanation. Hm... Interesting though. He would kind of fit.
