Okay this sounds Extremely funny. However I am kind of lost. They made a Lord of the Rings cartoon, when, where do you see it?

It's from the '80s and you might be able to get it at the library, if not try online.

Man!I have those movies , Lord of the Rings and Return of the King! They´re hilarious to watch! But they are terrible, they didn´t adapt well Tolkien´s books !:annoyed:
They are bad because:poor animation(maybe in Bass the animation is better, but still..)and lack of explanation!Of many things!
And both movies never did:
Gollum´s real intentions
Shelob
Faramir
Voice of Saruman
Palantir
The Dead Marshes
The ruin of Isengard
Ent-Moot,Ent-War
Tom Bombadil,Glorfindel(subtitute:Legolas),the hobbit´s first journey,Houses of Healing,Many Partings,Scouring of the Shire and more I can't remember, but in ROTK by Bass they also left out Galadriel,Legolas,Gimli;come on,the only elf that appeard was Elrond! :disgust: :annoyed: And the movies totally left out half of the Two Towers! :annoyed: In Bakshi we don't know what happened to Merry and Pippin! And who won at Helm's Deep!
And now,character analysis:
Aragorn:In Bakshi, wears a dress and looks like an indian. In Bass,he looks like a grandpa and is a jerk.
Boromir: :viking: also wears a dress!
Legolas:Very girly, but nice interpretation of elves and theif!,for stealing Glory's role!
Gimli:Tall as Legolas :-o
Gandalf:Enormous beard, and in Bakshi he can't stop moving his hands!
Pippin:Bakshi can't tell Merry and Pip apart,so he changes their hair colour!Bass made him look like a monkey and he doesn't know what's a palantir!
Merry:Bakshi made him like Pippin's twin(read Pip),but he was cute.Bass made him look like Sam without eyebrows
Sam:In both versions he is fat and ugly and has a huuge NOSE! :annoyed: In Bakshi he is stupid, too.
Frodo:In Bakshi he looks like he is 5 years, and in Bass all the hobbits are monkeys(Frodo too)
Eowyn:Disgusting in Bakshi, the only good thing from Bass, but she only had one scene! And in Bakshi she didn't talk! :annoyed:
Orcs:Bakshi made them look like African warriors(no offence),and Bass made them look like cats
Gollum:House-elf in Bakshi,frog in Bass
Saruman:Evil Santa Clause whose name is also Aruman!
Galadriel:Hippie!
Elrond:Julius Cesar in Bakshi,Dracula in Bass
Balrog:King Kong with wings! :vampire:
Denethor:An enraged monk
Theoden:Another Santa Claus,in both versions
Treebeard:Giant chicken with green pigtails
Elves:can you say kingdom of Gollums?Idiots in Bakshi
Nazgul:Jawas-Bakshi,Robot WK and skeletons in pegasus-Bass
And in Bass they had stupid songs every minute and the characters talk during all the movie! It was like Shakspire!(can't spell :annoyed: :annoyed: )''Frodo of the 9 fingers'' and ''Where ther's a whip ther's a way'' are stuck in my head forever! :confused2:
And in Bass I couldn't tell the difference between the Rohan warriors and the Gondorian warriors :confuzzled: And Bass' dwarves look very stupid
Ah,post too much,I have :yoda: You can continue the lis if you want,I am
going to rest :zzsoft:

I agree on many levels, but before we had Peter Jackson and FotR/TTT/RotK, what else could we see, but badly interpreted cartoon movies?
Sorry to say it guys, but I was one of people, who loved the idea of seeing the books come `to life´, even if it was in cartoons.
That goodness, things change and sometimes even for the better!

I think it's safe to say it was Rubbish and be done with it. Amusing to watch though...
