I have been missing Middle-earth so much!

I finally managed to start the movie trilogy again. Watching it, after such a long time (busy life, other movies, etc. got in the way), I really realized just how much I HAD missed it.

I think a lot of people don't realize this.

Middle-earth is such a part of me. It's really spectacular. And even though, as time has passed, I have grown to not like the films as much as I had (because of errors, and differences from Tolkien's masterpiece), it is still fantastic!

Watching it again (and I will have to read them again soon now!), is like visiting friends I haven't seen in ages. It's such a wonderful feeling!

When things are hard in life, at least I know that I will always have Middle-earth to retreat to.

I had to share this.

I completely agree with you. I've spent a year of my life without watching the movies or reading the books, and when I finally watched the movies again, I realized how much I missed them. it was incredible. lotr is such a big part of my life, and I can't believe I forgot how much I missed it. but anyway, now I'm reading again the trilogy, and watching the movies like everyday :P
but I had to say I agree with you :)

Exactly!

It gave me such a rush of memories!

I can not wait to start reading the books again. I'll have to finish the things I'm reading now though.

I need to go back, I've been meaning to watch the Return of the King, but I keep putting it off!

It's strange because coule dayx ago I felt exactly like you. I don't know why but it was just a need for me to watch LotR again. (after almost a year and a half!)

I just watched FotR but it was almost like I'd never seen it before! Of course, I remembered some key lines but I really felt pleasure, something I used to forget after all, it's oftent what happens when you watch the same thing over and over again!

The fact that I didn't read or watch LotR doesn't mean that I forgot it, in every single day of my life there is one moment where I'm close to it, simply by coming on A-U.com for example! :P

Yes. That was one sad thing, not remembering all the lines that I had so memorized! But that also made it more fun to watch.

Yeah... as much as I don't like the movies as Lord of the Rings because PJ strayed so much from the books, watching the movies is still a pleasure for me, and I think some of the characters were portrayed incredibly well.

What's fun, though, is watching the movies with the book open on your lap. I did that once and it was neat to see how it differed and such.
