In case you have not heard they are showing all 3 of the LotR Extended Edition's at theatre's across the United States next month...It's a one time only deal.....Here is a link with lots more info & a list of theatre's if your interested... http://www.fathomevents.com/originals/series/lordoftherings.aspxI never seen the movies the 1st time in theatre's & since I love the EE's so much better I may just have to go myself to see LotR on the big screen!!!

Wait, I'm a bit confused on where they are taking place. Are they being shown in theathers around the world, or just one state...?

They are showing in many movie houses across the states...They are showing the FotR week one & then TTT, & then RotK...but each is only going to be shown for one night if i read & understand correctly. If you use the link I provided it will show you everywhere these movies are going to be shown at & the specific dates....I am pretty sure the FotR is on 6/14/11 but not sure about the next 2 movies.

Well tonite is the night as the FotR EE will be in theatres across the USA!!!
Something has come up to keep me from attending but it is ok as I have already pre-ordered the New Box set of the Extended Edition's on Blu Ray wich are coming out at the end of this month. So it'll probably be more fun having friends over & watching all 3 on my 55" LCD in Blu Ray.
I still would have really enjoyed to see these on the big screen though....to all who is going tonight "Have a wonderful time!!!"

I didn't got to Fellowship, but I'm defiantly going to Two Towers and Return. To be honest, I have mixed feelings about it.

It was pretty epic, but it was just the movies on a bigger screen and with other people. 
IMO it wasn't that big of a deal if you didn't get to see it. It's not like it was anything new. Just the same ol' scenes. I mean, it was fun alright, but don't beat yourself up if you couldn't go to them, because it's not worth that.
