I used to, but I don't usually talk about it unless I have a friend to talk to about it. Though, I do have a habit of randomly squealing whenever I see a poster or trailer for The Hobbit.

When I was in middle school and high school, no one I knew liked LotR (or if they did, they didn't talk about it). It was probably a "nerdy" subject, so everyone kept quiet about for the most part. But then I found A-U, and it was amazing because I found out that other people actually do like this stuff! And now that I'm at college I know a lot of people who love LotR just as much as I do and talk about it all the time, which is a nice change.

When I was about 12 or 13 I didn't really shut up about LOTR and since the movies had just come out, there were a lot of people who would talk with me about it. But now I don't know anyone who likes it as much as I do, so I don't really talk about it.

I talk all day about LOTR(alright I admit it) and everyone gives me the nerdyyyyyyy look. They think I'm nuts because I can speak Elvish(I'm proud of it!) :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: that's what I get if I mention that I can write in Elvish. But I'm proud of the fact that I am a LOTR fan so it doesn't bother me :)

^There's no such thing as a perfect fan, Alatáriël. If you want to, and can, learn Elvish, that's really great, but not being able to speak it doesn't make you a less valuable fan. Anyone who enjoys the books and/or the movies, are fans. As long as you're nice to other fans and not mean to them because they might not know as much about LotR as you, that's what's important.
