I told one of my best friends once I figured out that I was obsessed and then she gave me this blank stare. SHe was like, " Is that the movie where there's an evil lord named Aragorn that wants to be king of Gondi or something." it was hilarious!!!!!

I have always been stared at because of my likes and dislikes. I am the reigning queen of Narnia and LOTR fandom at my school. Have been for years. If I mutter something in elvish (or the language I am making up) nobody really stares, they just go, "is that elvish?" and I answer accordingly. I have been my weird little self long enough that nobody cares, and it's all cool. They give me weird looks, but they all think it's kinda cool.
It's true, if you are yourself long enough, people realize that you are not a non conformist just to rebel, and that you dont' follow trends for any ole reason. They realize you are yourself. You get a bit of respect for it.
It's actually kinda fun to be a little out of the popular loops. You aren't restrained by "What will my friends/kids at school/church/whatever think?"
I also think it is kinda funny when someobdy says someting anti-LOTR then everybody looks at me, expecting me to blast them, but I dont'. Whatever. People say I'm obsessed. Everybody's obsessed with something, the accusers just dont' want to recognize it.
I'm rambling... I'll stop now. Later all!

I don't really talk about LotR...ever. None of my friends like it, and they have no clue I'm obsessed, though they know I've read the books, and seen the movies (Really, who hasn't seen LotR?)

Out of everyone I know in real life I'm the only one with the unhealthy obsession to it. v_v

Yes, that´s right, everybody has seen them, and many say ´t were good movies, but there are very few who are actually obsessed with them...I think, there are also few who really understand the meaning of the story.

I was talking to a friend about Lotr, and she says that she has only seen the Two towers.
"My favourite character is the elf-man!", she said, "The small one..."
"You mean the hobbit!"
"Oh yea..."
"You like Frodo?"
"No, the one which the pink man framed!"
"What pink man?"
"The one which brakes up the bread and throws it off that cliff!"
"Gollum? A. Gollum is green, not pink.... and B. That's not in the two towers!"
I then started to talk on and on...... she said she would go and watch them all soon......
