O man. well non of my class mates except for maybe three or four tolerate my liking for lotr. we were deciding on a theme for class day in spirit week and i said lotr and the whole class said stuff like"ew" and "thats stupid". i was really hurt yeah.
but something that cheered me up was @ pathfinders we were looking through stamps and i found one with Frodo and Sam on it and it said New Zealand!! it was so cool!!!!

Haha--my mom will watch LotR with me, but she still does ask some questions that had obvious answers.

Urgh my Mom used to hate it but now she's okay... kind of. She listened to the books on tape so she basically knows the story. But she still asks dumb questions sometimes. My Dad knows everything cause he was into it as a kid. he's the one that got my family into it.
Tons and tons of people around here used to be obcessed with it.. I mean you could barely move without tripping over a trading card or something. And we'd have contests over who knew the most movie trivia and such. It's so sad now because everybody thinks that LOTR is "over". They tell me that I need to get over it too. *growls* I shall being a true Ringer until I die! =P
But it still makes me sad... All those good Tolkienites lost... *sigh*

I don't talk LOTR to my firends. Sometimes I will to my best firend, but not my old firends.

Luckily, my best mate is a LOTR fan, but not quite as much as me, so that means he is actually interested though when I babble on about the history of certain characters, and places, and everything actually, its good!

Ah, you guys with friends who are ringers are so lucky! Some of my friends like Lotr as a movie, but none of them care about the culture or beauty of it like I do. I wish I had someone who shares my obsession.
I don't hide my love for Tolkien's works at all. In fact, I came to school dressed as an elf for halloween and brought a hobbit cake to class on my birthday last year.

None of my friends like LotR. I'm not sure they've even read the books, or watched the films
That doesn't stop me talking about LotR to them quite a lot of the time. And trying to force them to watch the films and read the books

I am a new ringer, and was actually introduced to LotR and AU by a real life friend. We talk about it quite often, i suppose especially at lunch and in maths Our other friends mostly tell us to shut up when we start a convosation when there around. I feel very sorry for my friend before i liked LotR now i know how great it is! It must have been very bad when there was no one to talk to!

I talk about LOTR with my friends who also like it, but not with my other friends. Sometimes if we talk about our favourite books and/or movies I tell why I like LOTR, but that's all.
