I just watched it, and it's awesome! Dom's the narrator, but it has interviews with most of the main stars as well as a bunch of real-life fans. I tried to make my mom watch it to prove that it could be worse, but she refused. I feel so deprived that my parents weren't part of the Tolkien following in the 60's and 70's! Most of those people at least had the decency to share with their kids...I never knew it existed until FOTR came out! (yes, it's that bad) But anyway, really funny stuff, including some "Tolkien confessionals" at the ComicCon. Great stuff :roflmao:

Basically, it's a documentary on LOTR fans. It starts with when Tolkien first published The Hobbit, and then goes up to now. It's meant to be humorous, and it definately is. Like I said, Dom's the narrator, so that's part of what's so funny (just the way he says stuff). It's kinda hard to explain...essentially just a collection of LOTR fans around the world, and how far they'll go to celebrate Tolkien (i.e.- one lady sold her house to finance a trip to New Zealand). The film's about an hour and a half, but totally worth it. I do think I scared my brother a bit, though. It was more of an interactive DVD for me because I kept yelling at PJ every time he came onscreen and jumping up and down every time they mentioned one of my favorite sites. I think the main fun in it is seeing that there are people out there that do some of the crazy stuff we do. ')

Any mention of AU? :P
I've been dying to see it ever since I heard they were making it months ago...sadly, I'm broke. I don't suppose the video rental store would get it? Probably not..
It looks so great, I mean, a documentary all about people like us? What's not to love!

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.
Who wants to join me in bringing back the lady?

lol no my one disappointment was the exclusion of A-U. They did mention T.O.R.N, though. It was awesome.
