I had a dream about the Vala last night
And I was Nienna (I did some research on Vala yesterday because I was practically clueless about them)

Anyway, If they do make the Silmarillion, I would probably be a young adult
And then I could audition for the part of a Valië or Luthien/Tinuviel :)

It would cost a lot, and I think it would be best if they maybe split it into two movies. It would be REALLY long to include everything in its full effect in there. It would be an awsome movie though, especially if PJ directed it. :)

it would be so hard, because there are so many different threads all woven into one rope. and it covers thousands of years, thousands of people. though i admit it would have some pretty kick ass battle scenes. lol. it wopuldn't attract as many people as the trilogy did though, i mean even people who hadn't read the books went to see that because those books are the stuff of legends. when i say i'm halfway through reading the Silmarilion, i usually get a "Who;s that by?" i mean COME ON! lol. sorry *flinches* me off topic again.

^ You're probably right. It would be very difficult to capture it all into a few movies.

The problem is that Sillmarilion is more like a "history" book and that's why it would ne difficult to make it...(and all the other reason you spoke of, of course!). Although they could pick some parts and make a movie about luthien and beren, the silmarils and feanor etc. i agree that they should put the Valar in the movie...

It would be awesome and most likely........

Ya know what would be awesome, Silmarrilon depicted in a comic book........
