I'm just curious: Have any of you had the strength, determination, endurance, and sheer will power (and not to mention insatiable obsession) to sit through the 11+ hours of all 3 Extended Editions? I've never tried it, for fear of never being able to walk again after being confined to a chair for that long. But if you have, what was it like? Did you actually get sick of seeing Viggo's face plastered to the screen for half the day (is that even possible?) Is your butt thawed yet? Did you even enjoy the movies? |

I have done it. Thrice! The first time was on a dare. The second was during an all night party with a group of friends. The third was just for the heck of it. I also completed the FOTR Appendixs on the third time. Believe me, by the end of ROTK, you've already cried your eyes out. That's result of too much chocolate, popcorn, and pop, and the lack of sleep. But I have to admit, it sure is fun. I'm thinking about trying it again over spring break.

Yeah I've done it, only once though. Was actually really quite fun. Tiring, but fun. I really need to do it again sometime soon. I've not watched any of the movies in such a long time. *ashamed*

Yep, I've done it! Though I'm not sure mine counts...it was New Years' Eve, and we went to some friends' house. They have a home theater. *grin* We watched FotR that night, went home at midnight, then everyone came back out in the morning and we watched TTT and RotK! Much fun. |

Yes, and it was fun. It was also tiring since it basically took all day. I did it with my friends during winter break last year, so there were a lot of jokes and comments and such. I would definately do it again. |

yep i've done it me and 2 of my friends watched them all on the winter break and lets just say there not as obsessed as i am, so 1 of them fell asleep and i kinda went crazy on them but that's beside the fact it was loots of fun we went through alot of pop and popcorn, but we have typed up our own story of what was really happening throughout the movie it's really funny too. it took us a whole night we got no sleep we were a wreck that morning. |

i mostly likely won't. that's just way too much tv for me in one day. i only watch a couple of hours of tv a day and after that i tend to get bored of it. |

I have! It was fun! It's even more fun when you have someone else with you to watch it. Of course my friend didn't stay awake.......We started at 6pm and had to take occasional breaks, so it ended at 6am. Then I slept til 1pm....... I can't wait to do it again. (insert smilie here) |

Laureloth, my friend and I did pretty much the same thing, though we started at 7:00pm and ended at 7:00pm. It was so much fun. I didn't even get tired, and we had almost no caffiene! We're both psycotic LotR fans, so we watched the whole thing and called PJ names whenever the movie was wrong. Lot's of fun. We were also sleep deprived, so we made many, many jokes that made no sence but were still funny. |

I don't know how may times I did it, but I've seen with the actors comentary twice and one with PJ commentary. I've always donne it, on my holidays (is the only time that I'm rested enough to do it!) |

I've already done it three times!! haha. EE marathons are so much fun. I have to admit though that I took bathroom breaks inbetween each disc change

Yes I have watched all three EE's and I am proud of myself that I only took one bathroom break during the whole 12+ hours. I made sure there were plenty of drinks and food in front of the tv before settling myself down for the best day ever. |
