Shadowfax is my favorite horse. In the whole trilogy. At least, the last two.

The bit where Legolas pulls off that amazing stunt. I kept replaying that on my DVD one time too many. I also like the bit where Gandalf and Pippin ride on Shadowfax.

I totally agre on that one, eowyn! another two of my fav scenes w/ horses are when arwen and frodo ride asfolath and get chased by the ringwraiths and the part when rohan charges the armies around minas tirith and the oliphaunts! LotR HORSES RULE!
The best horse is Shadowfax!

I guess....
1) Charge of Eomer and Gandalf and when Shadowfax rears on the horizon in that scene... =)
2) When Gandalf gallops out of the stables in ROTK
3) Chase scene with the Nazgul in FOTR

I expected to love the scene when Shadowfax galloped up to Gandalf in TT but somehow something was missing... or maybe my expectations were just to high... lol

Right, like I've said, I absolutely LOVE the charge of the Rohirrim. It's the best scene in the whole third movie, and would be the best in the whole trilogy if it weren't for...THE ASFALOTH SCENE!! No, not the Arwen-being-chased-by-Nazgul scene. She was just added to...well, I'm not sure why, but I bet PJ wanted to make Asfie look like a regular old horse -shiffy eyes-. Or maybe he thought a horse just wasn't good enough, and had to add a stupid elf lady. And Asfie can easily outrun Nazgul steeds. But no, that wasn't suspenseful enough...or maybe it's the make-Asfaloth-look-like-nothing-special plot? Seriously, the book 'scene' was by far better. Asfaloth needs no stupid elf lady.

Gah! Sorreh, rant's done. Man, this elf dislike thing is getting bad. Anyway, I also like the 'Riding to Isengard' scene (That chestnut horse ish SO awesome!!) and the 'Attempt to re-take Osgiliath scene' ('Nother super-awesome chestnut horse!! Not to mention this certain gray one)). Oh, and the retreat from Osgiliath. Actually, I like EVERY scene involving horses!

((Yup, annoying, blabber-mouth little me is back. Oh joy,isn't that SO exciting?

my fave scene would have to be Brego coming to wounded Aragorn in TT, and the music - Breath of Life - along with it is the best too!

I also adore all the charges but that's only partly because of the horses

The horses are one of the best parts of the movie!

I like the big battle scenes with all the horses.

If I was in middle Earth and I was a horse, I would not want to be there with those mumakils...

But it's really great in the movie!

The first time I ever saw TTT, I looked like this when Shadowfax came onscreen: I like him the most. I also really like the Flight To the Ford scene (where Arwen's being chased by the Nazgul).
