yeah that's what I was, I really was myself at that moment, but I just didn't get emotional.. I think it was because she didn't understand the English lines and it makes no sense watching a movie with her if I know it (almost) by heart and she doesn't understand a word (though I don't think it's difficult to understand in English..)

the most beautiful scene is almost at the end of ROTK, when the eagles come and after when the ring is finally destroyed and the Sauron's eye falls along with the tower. There it comes the most moving scene I have ever seen: when all realize that Frodo would probably have died and the hobbits are left abandoned on a rock surrounded by fire and seems that there won't be any hope. But Gandalf comes with the eagles to rescue them and Frodo flies high, seeming just like an angel. And you can hear the wonderful music. This is the most beautiful and moving scene in a film I've ever seen

I always just explode into tears when I watch ROTK and the scene where Aragorn, Gandalf, Pip, Merry and co are in the black gate and the gate opens. ´That's where i dont cry, yet. Then after they think Frodo is dead because of the mithril coat and Saruman's mouths words etc. when the enemy pours out and gathers around them, (i still dont cry, but wait) when Aragorn speaks the 'i see the same fear in your eyes that would take the heart of me...blaa...sons of gondor...blaa. .. it is not this day...blaa...this day we fight' speech, tears are starting to glisten in my eyes, but when he turns tears in his eyes, and whispers: 'For Frodo' i absolutely cant get the grip anymore, and weep and weep for ages, it's an absolutely 'beautiful-touching-wellacted-worth-of-crying' - scene. And when barad dur falls and mt doom explodes, they know Frodo has destroyed the Ring, but then they realise that it had claimed his life, they are desperate. That is a scene/chapter that greatly expresses the real emotionality of lotr, that does not exist in other books/movies! Does anyone else feel the same?

Your expression of emotion touched me Eärlinde Elensar. LotR is certainly right up at the top in literature. It expresses our realities and passions and despairs so efffectively and dramatically! As I tell my kids again and again, "I love LotR!!!!"

Hi everyone, dont know whether this has already been said i only read a few comments but that scene with the speech with aragorn got me just the same and after " for frodo" i was crying, not because i was sad, well jus a little, but becuase their loyalty to him made me smile at the same time if you get me. ALso cried when frodo says to sam when they think they are about to die... "Im glad you here with me Samwise Gamgee... here at the end of all things..." i cried so much as i actually thought pete was gonna end it there! but it couldnt because everyone knows frodo dont die if you'v read the book....But low and behold! Gandalf turns up with hope in his heart and rescues him and sam from the rock... i was so happy then (but still bluberring at the same time!)

The whole movie makes me feel the deepest emotions ever felt in my life. At the end, when Sauron's tower fell off every time I cry together with Gandalf. It's all so indescribable

I don't really cry when watching the movies, but some days I get so sad about certain parts that I cry at night. :D
