It is quite interesting! I liked all the background history on the Anglo-Saxons.

I enjoyed some of the interviews, but found that some of the links between the characters or scenes and the historical events a little bit far fetched.

It's ages since I watched it now, but the one that stood out at the time was linking the charge on Osgiliath with a battle from the American Civil War. It was meant to indicate the courage and sacrifice made for a cause, but the example from the Civil War was more about a foolish commander believing his men were invincible as he sent them on an impossible mission, rather than a man knowing the cause to be hopeless but leading them on anyway.

Having said that though, I thought that the overall idea was very intriging, and would certainly recommend to give it a whirl if it ever turns up on National Geographic again.

Which National Geographic program on LOTR are you talking about. There's more than one. Today I watched Beyond the Movie. That was pretty good.

I saw one and well... I didn't like it.. I have to admit that it had a point but there was some mistakes. For example there was that finnish would be spoken in some little area in the border of Finland and Russia. That isn't true, 'cause I'm living quite far away from that area and I'm speaking finnish as far as I know.

But well I think that it's OK in other ways.
