Hi Laurel, I agree that the music is my favorite part of the movies also. If you want to buy the Complete Recordings for FOTR and TTT, go to amazon.com , they have them there. But the ROTK Complete Recording has not been released as of yet. But be prepared to fork over a little bit of money! Their not cheap. But so worth it!

Yes! I love The Complete Recordings so much! I only have the FotR set right now, but I ordered the TTT box from Amazon yesterday, so hopefully I'll have it in the near future. Kinda hurts my financial status, but for music like this, it's worth it. I think it was a great decision to release these sets, because let's face it... The soundtracks that were released with the movies only had a very small part of the whole score on them. So I'm very excited about my mail in the coming days. Can't wait for the RotK set! And about the symphonies... I'd love to have gone to one of them, but it's pretty hard to do so when you live in Denmark. You spoiled Americans you!

I have to agree with you about the Complete Recordings! They are a must for all LOTR enthusiast, though pricey! Now as for the LOTR Symphonies, we Americans are spoiled especially me! I have had the privilege to have attended 4 so far and come this Friday night I'm attending another in Louisville, Ky. [b]I'm so bad[/blol:

I was able to get a hold of the TTT Complete Recordings about a week ago. THE most amazing piece of soundtrack I have ever heard - even better than the FotR Complete Recordings
~Elfin Maiden~ wrote: The young lady in the picture is Kaitlyn Lusk. She is only on her late teens. She did a fine job, though I wish she had projected her voice more. Now the other Soloist that I have seen in the past that was outstanding was Sissel, born in Scandinavia. She really was the better of the two. Her 'Into the West' and Gollum,s Song, were fantastic!
Sissel is a fantastic singer. She's a well-known artist here in Scandinavia. She is the vocalist you can hear on the Titanic soundtrack for almost all of the score tracks and she also did the voice for Ariel in the Swedish and Norwegian version of Disney's The Little Mermaid. According to IMDb.com she also did some uncredited vocals on The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - maybe that will be on the Complete Recordings for said film?

Hmmm. Maybe I'll wait for The Return of the King to come out and maybe there will be a complete release instead of buying them one by one. Maybe it will save me some money. I'm very frugal, you see.

Well, Im back from Middle-Earth, that is Louisville,Ky. I had the privilege once again to hear the best music ever created! The LOTR Symphony once again transported this gal back to such happy memories! Boy, I miss all the hoopla that went on when we were all in anticipation for the movies to be released.
Yes, the tears started as soon as the orchestra started playing " The Prophecy" from FOTR and started up again as the young Soloist, Kaitlyn Lusk, (she did so much better this time than when I heard her perform in the past, much stronger) ended this fantastic program performing, " Into the West", ROTK. The program wasn,t long enough though. So I'll get my Complete Recordings out of FOTR & TTT and listen to them. All the while waiting for ROTK Complete Recordings patiently. And than once again visit a place that really does exist, if not in the literal world it does exist here on A-U!

I've just bought TTT complete recordings, and it was really a lot of money. I wish they were not so expensive . But the music is wonderful as well as the packaging. And now I am trying to get FOTR now.

I just bought both FotR and TTT Complete Recordings and they are simply amazing
They were a bit pricey (I got both from Amazon) but they are so worth it. The music is just incredible and the packaging is also really great. They make them look like an actual book which is really cool. There is a really nice booklet that comes along with them explaining the music and all.
Now I just wait until sometime this year when RotK is supposed to be released. That one should be amazing as well!

I would get the complete Fellowship soundtrack just to hear the passing of Gildor's company. That scene really gave me chills!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe they're soooo much! I've been looking all over for a clip of the song at the Houses of Healing, and i bet that's in the complete reccordings, but wow! I'll look into getting it anyway. lol
Does anyone know when exactly the ROTK one is coming out?

I would suspect the RotK Complete Recordings comes out in November/December of this year. The two previous ones were released around that time last year and the year before so that's what I'm guessing!

That would be the song, in the houses of healing, that I would look forward to hearing the most. I have a ripped MP3 of it, but there are footsteps in the background. Oh well. Time to save up money!
