I thought it wasn't such a bad song. The first time I heard it I thought her voice sounded a bit harsh but once I listened to it many more times, I kinda got used to it.

Many people think Annie Lennox's voice is annoying and that she is untalented. I disagree with this completely. I love her because her voice is so unique and powerful. Her voice gives the song a haunting, yet beautiful, finishing touch. I think she sang "Into the West" perfectly.

I thought, it was a guy singing the song a at first. And I didn't think it was all that good, either. I have heard others sing it and it is just not the same, there isn't the same feeling in it, like when she sings it. I really do love the song now, but she still sounds flat on the high note.
Peace Out,
Tasare

I have always thought "Into the West" was one of the most beautiful songs in the trilogy. However, when I first heard the song, I thought Annie Lenox's voice was a bit harsh as I wanted someone with a sweeter quality to her voice. However, after hearing the song numerous times, I got used to it as well.

I enjoyed Into the West, and even though it's no "May it Be", I thought it was fine.
I must admit, whenever her voice gets really high, I wince a bit and turn down the volume, but all-in-all, I appreciate the song.

Lady Aramel wrote: "Into the West", by Annie Lennox is a great song. However, I do not like Annie's Vocals in the song. The lyrics are good, but every time I watch the credits of LOTR-ROTK, I have to turn down the volume. How do you feel about her?
~~Lady Aramel 8)
She starts out okay, but by the end she's screaming. I usually put the tv on mute.
