who is your favourite singer on lotr and why? personally, i love enya...and i also love it when viggo sings in elvish in rotk!!!! his voice is so raw and haunting...i can't get enough of it!

There are SO many wonderful singers on the soundtracks, but, I think my favorite ones are the more operatic ones. That being said, I really love both Isabel Bayrakdarian's vocals and Renee Fleming's...they are just so beautiful, and go excellently with the moment. So, I have to go with them.

You want us to pick ONE? But they are all so ... beautiful and sing such nice stuff, which probably really helps. Personally, though, I'd have to say I like enya's voice probably the best...

Oooh, I forgot! I also Ben Del Maestro, the boy that sings at the end of TTT and in the White Rider song on ROTK!!!

For singers of the closing songs, I would have to go with Enya. Her voice is just so Elven...so fitting for Middle-Earth, as in Aniron.
But for the others, I say either Renee Fleming or Isabel Bayrakdarian. I love their vocals in Evenstar and Twilight and Shadow...*sigh* I wish I could sing like that!

I love Billy's song, he has such a sweet scottish accent.
And I also love Ben del Maestro, especially when he's singing the part of the march of the Ents: that always gives me shidders
And I also love the song in the EE of the ROTK where Aragorn in healing Eowyn. I still don't know who sings it but it's very beautiful _________________

Enya definitely, viggo and billy of course, renee fleming -yeah!- and i can't remember who sings it but the one that sings Breath of Life. I think it's Sheila Chandra...
