Some of you might remember that a long time ago, I asked who it was that sang that gorgeous bit after Gandalf falls on the Bridge of Khazad Dum. Well, I've FINALLY figured it out!
It's Mabel Faletolu!
"Mabel has attained a Diploma in Performance Art from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in Christchurch and a Post-graduate Diploma (Opera) from the University of Auckland.

She has experience as a professional actor in Wellington and Auckland and has appeared professionally as a jazz singer with Malcolm McNeill.

Mabel was one of the original cast of “Classical Polynesiaâ€

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.

oh, that's interesting. yeah, now that you've brought it up, renee's and her voice do sound similar...but i think renee fleming's voice has a more 'covered' sound than does cole's.

I always expected it was the guy who sang In Dreams (man I can't believe I've forgotten his name...it was Edward something, I think...), but of course I didn't have anything to back that up.

Hurray! ^_^ I remember people trying to figure that out even on the old forum. Some people thought it was someone named Hillary something, but the general thought was Renee.

Mabel, eh? You can shoot me, but for some reason it doesn't seem to me that the name goes along with the voice. @_@

GORGEOUS part, though. It always makes me cry, even without the visuals.

^ I think Hilary Summers did the vocals on the track "Farewell to Lorien" that came with the TTT special edition soundtrack.

Edward Ross, Arwen? Hmm, I hadn't considered him when I was trying to figure that out...but then, there's a pretty different sound between the quality of a boy soprano's voice and a mature female soprano's. Having a little brother helps in making that distinction. :P
