I can't decide as well. Each CD had pieces of music that I loved, so I can't choose between them. I loved the hobbit theme, "May It Be," and the Lothlorien theme. In TTT, I loved the Rohan theme and in ROTK I loved the Gondor theme and "Into the West."

I would add a 'can't decide' option, but I don't know how!

I voted for the Return of the King, because there are parts of the other cd's on it and because of into the West.
They're all great.

I said FOTR because I was ecstatic in a different way about it when I got my hands on it. I think because LOTR was still very new to me.
And because there are fewer battle scenes in FOTR, so the music is less violent and easier to listen to.
But I don't really have a favourite. They are all different, and it's hard to choose between them!

I love them all, but I guess I will go with ROTK. It is so sad though, and it always makes me cry! lol

They all have different qualities, but ROTK wins for me simply because is the most desperate, emotional, thrilling soundtrack...in the history of the universe...*cough*
Just like the books and movies, each part has its own reasons for being wonderful. FOTR is lighter and more introductory, TTT is getting right into things and giving us a heap of new scenarios and themes, and emotionally ROTK is a complete epic to deal with. Wow...

I'll always love TTT the best because of certain pieces of music... Forth Eorlingas being one, but also in 'The Hornburg' there's that amazing music from when the Elves are charging towards the Uruk-hai after the Deeping Wall comes down!

I voted FotR because although I like bits and pieces from each of the soundtracks, most of them come from FotR, and so that's my favorite. Plus, it has The Council of Elrond and May It Be.
