Alright, now that I've beaten way past East Emnet, I need help with Helm's Deep. Even though I'm still using a walkthrough, I need a good strategy. There are always way too many bad guys that kill all my men(including heroes) and buildings. By the time my reinforcements come, they're all I have left.......then they die. I try to make as many archers as I can but apparently, they’re not enough and aren’t made fast enough. If anyone has experience or suggestions, I'd appreciate them all as you know. Thanks again! Also, I'm having a little issue with cash, however I end up not being able to make many farms.....because of making men.

I would begins with quickly making as many farms as you can so that the money is coming in quicker, with about two archery ranges. Have someone collects all the money chests that are scattered aroung the keep. Plus, if you rescue the village people from the wargs, you also get more money.

Position your hero's throughout the long part of the wall, except for Eowyn, who you should put above the gates. With Eowyn's special spear thing you can get rid of the orcs trying to knock you gate in with one hit.

Make sure you watch out for the orcs carrying the bomb and lights, shoot them down quickly with Legolas and archers. Otherwise your wall will be blown apart.

One strategy I have to getting rid of the camps, is taking all my heros and a couple archers out and detroying the enemy camps. Or you can just wait until Eomer comes and have his group do that.

Hope that helped some. :)

^ I'd agree with that and would add to shoot the orcs carrying ladders. Once they get them up against the wall lots of orcs will come swarming up. If this does happen still go for the ladders before killing the orcs on your wall.

Also try and upgrade your archers as much as possible. Fire arrows do a lot more damage.

Helm's Deep's definitly one of the hardest parts of the game. I think I had to do it at least 3 times and I've never managed to spot the orcs with bombs in time.

Elves, Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn near the little drain. Theoden and some Riders near a postern gate at the Main Gate. Boromir at the Gate and Eowyn at the Gate.

Elves, Elves, Elves. Build as many of them as you can.
Fire arrows, heavy armor, forged blades, and banner carriers in that order.

Note: If you attack the mine with flaming arrows it will explode, if it's too close to your walls, they will still be destroyed.

Personally, I would build as many farms as possible, then draw your troops back to the interior wall (I have ALL archers as they are far superior to normal troops) and get them to wait until the deeping wall has been breached, then get them to PIN CUSHION the enemy troops whilst Legolas is shooting and training archers, and the swordsman (Aragorn, Gimli, Boromir etc) to stay on the outer wall, and you can pull them back if need be....

Hope that helps, halarond.........

All you need to do start with farms as people told you. And create more archers preferably elven ones. Settle them on the wall which the Uruks go up. And about the heroes, put them on the wall too. They are very useful to bring down the enemies as long as not many of them coming to attack at the same time. Keep going till the wall is destroyed and make your way through the interior wall. Settle the archers on the interior wall this time and wait for the arrival of Eomer. If you can survive, I assure you survive, you attack with Eomer and Theoden to defeat the Uruks. I hope that helped
