Drew's Destiny: Maranwë is Quenya for 'destiny', but -eth and -iel are Sindarin feminine endings.

- - - - -

The translation of my name into Quenya might be Eruanno Nionneuro, and into Sindarin it might be Anneru Dynisvyr.

Tyrhael, Okay. That makes more sense. Thanks for the explanation. :-D See I'm just now learning Elvish. So I'm not very good at it yet. Guess I'll have to practice some more. :-D
EonwesBestMate, Cool. Oh, and by the way cool Elvish name.

You say you don't like that name? Well, what about another? I don't think it's a translation of "Satu", at any rate; I have read that "Satu" is a Finnish name derived from something meaning "fairy tale, fable", whereas Eärlindë Elensar means "Sea-song Star-stone"... though the last word wouldn't even happen in Quenya phonology; it would be assimilated to Elessar, which in turn could be translated as Star-stone or Elf-stone (though the latter could be Eldasar).

I would translate Satu (as "fairy tale") into Quenya as Inwenyárë, or as "story, saga, tale" as Nyárë, Nyárië, Nyarnië, etc. ... I can't reconstruct Qe. _inwë_ into Sindarin, so I might only be able to say Narneth for that (which could also be read as "Young fire").

:confuzzled:
