That does sound elvish! I might be able to dig up a hazy translation...maybe...

That definitely looks like Quenya — one way of interpreting it could be to isolate the verb mer- "wish, desire, want" and a feminine agentive ending -indë to make "One (a female) who wishes". An alternate interpretation could be from the root MBER "festive, joyous" and rindë "circle". Or, the second element could be from indo "heart, mood, state of mind" changed with feminine -ë to make "joyous mood".
So, perhaps "A female who wishes", "festive circle", or "female with a joyous state of mind"?

Yeah that would work too.
But I also understand if you wish to keep your real name a little more private.

I like your translation, Ea...you're right, it is Quenya. I don't know as much of it as Sindarin.
I like both names, Merinde and Aerlinn, but I've always wondered something, how do you pronounce Aerlinn? Is it like Ire-linn?

I do not know what Allonde means... it just came to me. I ought to try to look it up.

Thanks... but Tabris translated it... all I contributed to this, was commenting on the name and the translation afterwards.

Well, your name is pretty. I am Finn and my name isn't that cool and its doesn't sound like Elvish. I wish I had so pretty name too...
