I will translate your name into Sindarin or Quenya.
Just tell me what it means, and whether you are male or female.
I've translated a lot of my friends' names, and my own (Which is my username), so I have some experience.

I already know mine. In Sindarin, it's Meluieth, and in Quenya, it's Eruve, shortened from Erunyauve. My real name is Lisa, which is not a nickname or a short form. I also have a cousin named Lisa, but she has a middle name (Marie) and I don't. Only one of my aunts and myself are the only ones in my family without middle names.

My username is more of a character name. It may be an alternate spelling of the heroine from the movie Brave, but it is in fact a female dwarf name, since I found it on this site: http://www.rdinn.com/generators/1/dwarv ... erator.php

P.S. You may want to delete the duplicate thread, since you only need one. ;-)

Ah. I didn't know that there was a duplicate.
I translated mine, Túrien, from my real name, which basically means 'victorious.' I used the Sindarin word túr, which means basically victory or mettle in battle, and added a feminine ending to it.
I've also given myself a Quenya amilessë, Narussanë, which means literally copper fire. I have copper hair and a fiery, stubborn temper, which is why I chose it.
But no-one calls me Nari, except for my (fictional) family.
I'm the youngest child of Feanor and Nerdanel in my fanfiction.

Hello. I'm not saying your Mother-name is wrong, I'm just pointing out that since Tolkien's Ambarussa doesn't have an additional ending [on -russa] I think you could have: *Narusse for feminine and *Narusso for masculine...

... although if closely following Tolkien's example, it seems *Narussa could do.

Just to add :)
