Hmm, I thought evanescence meant "sparkling". I could be wrong, but it seemed like i heard that it meant that...

It doesnt mean sparkling.
Evanesce means to disapear and Evanescence means to fade. Evanescenceis is a very particular word, I'm guessing that you wont get direct translation for it.
I'd try looking up a Synonym of it, fade, fading, evaporate or vanish to get a simular meaning word.

Fade is "thinna", but I think it's a prefix.

Okay, well as i said, i could be wrong. ;) ^I'm not sure about Sindarin, but in Quenya, I think it would be autale. :-D
