This is a game that's actually really fun and interesting if you play it right.
The first poster will ask a question giving a choice between two things. The second poster will then give their choice and post a new this or that question. For example:
Poster 1: Merry or Pippin?
Poster 2: Pippin because of his accent! Arod or Hasufel?
You can use people, animals, places, things, pretty much whatever you can think of. I'd like to keep it to all LOTR stuff for now, but maybe later we can switch to using other stuff. Or, if you have a really good one that's non-LOTR, I guess you could post it. It would also be good if you could give reasons for your choice. Eveybody get it? Let the choosing begin!
I'll start:
Legolas or Haldir?
p.s. You MAY use the examples I have given above if you wish.

You met Craig Parker!?!?!? Jealous!
Hmmm..... Faramir for not giving in to the Ring when he could have, and for the way he treated Eowyn.
Sting or Anduril/Narsil?

Anduril/Narsil because it sounds cool to say over and over again...
Luthien or Arwen?

LOL. Your reason made me laugh.
Well, I've only just gotten the Silm unhfortunately, but from what I've heard/read about Luthien Tinuviel, she's definitely the better.
Hobbits or Elves?
ooooohhhhh. hard one. *sinister laughter*

In what way? As a better villian? If so, Sauron hands down. He instills so much more fear. And he's much harder to defeat.
Elladan or Elrohir?

Pooh. They're so alike it's difficult to distinguish. Elladan, because I named my sister's stuffed bunny after him.
Treebeard or Quickbeam?

That's exactly what I thought when I asked the question. they are too dang alike to distinguish.
As for yours..... I would have to say Treebeard. Because he's Treebeard. he's the root of all Ents. Pun not intended. teehee. Plus, I love all his hooming and homming and he's just so super sweet awesome. I'm in the process of requesting a Treebeard banner actually, only not a lot of people seem to want to do it.
Lothlorien or Rivendell?
p.s. Doesn't it seem as though we're the only one's posting?...... Not that it bothers me. I just thought it was kind of interesting.........

Hey, he needed a name, and I was in a mood so I called him Elladan.
Rivendell. Lothlorien always scared me slightly. Plus, again, I like to say Rivendell over and over again to myself...Rivendell...Rivendell...Rivendell...does it drive anyone else nuts how people always think it's River Dale?
Erm...Imrahil or Eomer?
p.s. nope, doesn't bother me!

That's funny. I'd never heard Rivendell associated with River Dale. But if I had it would probably have bothered the crap out of me.
I disagree with you about the Lothlorien/Rivendell thing though. I always thought Lothlorien was very beautiful and very......... beautifully eerie if that makes any sense. Besides, I love trees, and the mallorn trees sound beautiful.
Imrahil was a prince, one who came to the aid of Rohan, right? I think I'm thinking of the right person. Not sure though. If I am, I think Eomer is cooler. They didn't really put enough about Imrahil (still assuming he's who I think he is) in the books for me to like him well enough. Besides, Eomer was a good character. Very loyal and brave. And a good warrior.
Here's a classic:
Aragorn/Eowyn or Aragorn/Arwen? And you'd better answer right.......
p.s. Me neither. This is cool. Just you and me and a whole lot of pointless LOTR questions. It makes for a pretty good time!

Imrahil is the prince of Dol Amroth. I always though he was pretty darn cool.
Aragorn/Arwen ALL the way. They were practically made for each other. Boy, you don't know how long I hated Eowyn just because she liked Aragorn...but I'm over it now...
Frodo or Sam?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exactly! I knew I was right! I just couldn't remember exactly where he was prince of. But yes. He is pretty cool. I still think Eomer is better though.
Good! You answered right! I can't stand it when people are for Aragorn/Eowyn! It's like you said, Aragorn and Arwen were made for each other. No Shieldmaiden, no matter how fair or how skilled with a sword, could ever change that. Urgh. Down with the Eowyn/Aragorn shippers!
I have to say Frodo. He's my favorite LOTR character. I love him. It's so hard for me to put just one reason why he's amazing......... I think for me it's mostly because he's supposed to be one of the most insiginificant beings in Middle Earth, and yet in the end, everyone in Middle Earth owes Frodo thier lives. And countless other things I won't say here.
I also really like Sam. I love Sam because he loves Frodo as much as I do. And other reasons as well. Frodo's still best though.
Bow and arrows or a sword?
p.s. Just our of curiousity, not as part of the game, who's your favorite LOTR character? If your avvy is any indicator, I'd say Legolas. But am I right? I want to know!

p.s. I realized I sounded a little harsh against Eowyn in the above post. Don't mistake me. I still like Eowyn a lot. I just don't like her and Aragorn together. It's completely wrong. But on with the game.........

I dunno, the only scene where I really liked Eomer was, oddly enough, the one where he finds Eowyn and thinks she's dead. I cried at that scene. I cried through that whole battle.
I know! It's so wrong! Can people honestly think that Aragorn, being Aragorn, would ever betray Arwen like that? She gave up immortality for him! I don't think there can be any greater sacrifice except, of course, death, which she essentially did anyway. Being willing to die to be with him.
I think most of Middle-Earth actually owe the both of them their lives - don't forget, Sam carried Frodo, and fought Gollum. And even Gollum played a part, because who knows? If he hadn't been there, Frodo might not have had the will to destroy the Ring.
Whoa, I'm waxing eloquent. Bow and arrows, (lol) not because Legolas uses them, but because they're so swift and deadly and just plain cool.
Well, I really like Frodo and Sam and Faramir and Aragorn and Arwen and Legolas. So if that answers your question lol...
Shadowfax or Asfaloth?
