I made lembas for the LOTR movie marathon my friends and I had. It tasted like honey biscuits. And I know exactly what Haldir is talking about. You definitely need something to wet your mouth while you eat it. Because it is dry, only not really. LOL. :) It will make non sense if your lembas didn't turn out that way. Lembas is delicious!

i made some a couple of days ago. i used a recipe from council of elrond, and i spent about 30mins converting the quanties into english and then discovered my mum actually has a set of measuring cups!!!!! i was so mad with her for not telling me! it was quite nice once i made it, but the dough was rather sticky. so i'm going to try and invent my own recipe

Where did you get your recipe Haldir? Could you post the link or something? I've already made it. as mentioned above, but I'd like to see what kind of other recipes there are out there.

That's just the one I used! With a few of my own variations along the way. And I didn't make the mallorn leaves. I chose it because it was the simplest one I could find. Of course, I did change some ingredients, like honey for sugar, so it didn't turn out quite perfect. It is very good though. Everybody should try it!
